Choosing a blue desk set

Blue desk sets come from the families with a blue product page, Luna and Vega. Choose Luna for a blue desk set of four to ten pieces, and the Vega 14 when you also want a calendar holder and a tissue holder. Both are faux leather sets of matching blue office desk accessories, and both use the 13.4 × 18.9 in (34 × 48 cm) desk pad.

Royal blue, in the product pages' words

Almost every listing calls its finish royal blue. On the Luna 4 and Luna 5 it has a fine grain. The Luna 8 and Luna 9 pair it with gold-tone pens or fittings, and the Luna 10 with the two-tier tray adds a blush-beige lining. The Luna 10 with a single tray is worded differently, as a smooth blue. The Vega 14 is royal blue with subtle tonal stitching and gold-tone fittings.

Luna in blue, from four pieces up

The Luna 4 is a desk pad, pen cup, memo holder and coaster, and the Luna 5 adds a business card holder; neither has pens or a nameplate. With the Luna 8 come a personalized nameplate base and two ballpoint pens, with the Luna 9 a phone stand, and with the Luna 10 a document tray, single or two-tier. Up to nine pieces these are compact desk sets.

These two blue sets are both executive sets with a nameplate, a business card holder, a phone stand and a two-tier document tray. They differ in the rows below.

Calendar sheets and paper are not included with either set.

Blue desk accessories beyond the ready-made sets

Navy, turquoise and gray

Navy is not a shade within this collection. Among the ready-made sets it comes on the Cloud 10-Piece Desk Set, whose product page calls it a dark, formal alternative to black; find it with the color filter on all desk sets. In the tool, navy is on the color list of Cloud and of every model that offers blue. Two neighbors have pages of their own: turquoise desk sets come in the same Luna sizes, and some gray desk sets are a slate with a blue tint.

Where blue fits, and which plate

The color guide describes blue as a calmer, more modern statement color and lists it as a bolder choice on a gray or metal desk. It puts blue in the silver-plate group, where silver keeps a color cool. The blue sets with a nameplate are described with gold-tone pens or fittings, though, so check the photos before you choose. Either plate has room for a 32-character name and, if you add one, a 36-character title, printed rather than engraved.

Care for blue faux leather

Blue faux leather is cleaned like the rest of the range: a soft, dry cloth for dust and a soft, slightly damp one for a light mark, then dry. Keep sharp tools and abrasive pads away from the surface. See materials and care for each piece.
