Every wood veneer desk set on this page is the same model, the Prestige 14-Piece Desk Set with Clock. The pieces, the desk pad and the materials are identical, so the only choice to make here is the finish.

What wood veneer means on the Prestige

Each product page gives the material as wood veneer with faux leather components. The veneer is a thin layer of real wood on the surface. The Prestige is not a solid wood set, and its interior wood is painted. If you searched for wood desk accessories, check that point before you order: this is a wood veneer and faux leather desk set, and its product pages do not name a wood species.

Finishes

Each product page describes its finish in its own words:

• Prestige 14 in black: a glossy black finish around a mottled black pad center.
• Prestige 14 in brown: a warm brown wood-veneer grain around a dark brown pad center.
• Prestige 14 in burgundy: a glossy burgundy finish around a textured burgundy pad center.
• Prestige 14 in rose black: a reddish-brown, burl-pattern veneer around a black pad center.

For a visible grain, start with brown or rose black: their product pages describe the veneer pattern. Every finish carries the same material line, and each product page lets you switch finish with its color selector.

Desk pad size and desk space

The Prestige uses the 15.0 × 22.8 in (38 × 58 cm) desk pad, the larger of our two pad sizes. With fourteen pieces it is one of our executive desk sets, which start at ten pieces. The two-tier tray, the clock and the tissue holder need room beside or behind the pad, so the set suits a wide executive desk better than a small one. Personalized nameplate

The nameplate base holds a metal plate with your text. Type a name of up to 32 characters and, if you want one, a title of up to 36, then pick one of eight fonts and a gold or silver plate. The text is printed, not engraved, exactly as you type it, so check spelling and capital letters; the on-screen preview is approximate. If you notice a mistake after ordering, contact us: the wording can be changed until the order has shipped. The nameplate guide has wording examples.

Care

Wipe light marks on the veneer and the faux leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry. Keep abrasive pads, sharp tools and excess moisture away from every surface: set cups and glasses on the three coasters, and do not scrub the printed nameplate. How the Prestige compares with other sets
