Luxury Desk Set
Personalized Office Gifts
A personalized office gift from Luxury Desk Set is a matching desk set with a nameplate printed with the recipient's name and, if you like, their title. This page covers which set to choose for a promotion, a new office or a retirement, and what to check before you order.
Personalized desk sets as office gifts
Every set is built around a desk pad, with matching pieces such as a pen cup, memo holder, business card holder, phone stand and document trays, depending on the set. Most sets also include a nameplate base with a metal plate. You type a name and an optional title, then choose one of eight fonts and a gold or silver plate. The text is printed, not engraved, exactly as you type it; the on-screen preview is approximate.
Start with our desk sets with a personalized nameplate: every set there includes one. For a smaller personalized desk gift, a nameplate can be ordered on its own through Build Your Desk Set, which has no minimum; see personalized desk name plates for what each model's name plate includes.
Gifts for a promotion, a new office or a retirement
- A promotion. A promotion gift can carry the new title on the nameplate; copy it exactly as it was announced. If the new role comes with a larger desk, see executive desk sets.
- A new office. For a new office gift, where the desk may not be in place yet, one set on the smaller desk pad is the Luna 10-Piece Desk Set with Two-Tier Tray, which includes a phone stand and a nameplate.
- A retirement. For a retirement office gift going to a home desk, see compact desk sets; among them, the Luna 8-Piece and 9-Piece sets include a nameplate.
- A manager, from the team. When a team orders a desk gift for a manager, or an office gift for a boss, without asking the recipient, confirm the spelling of the name from an email signature or a business card. The checklist in our desk set gift ideas article covers the other details, and our guide to gifts for your boss covers when such a gift is appropriate and how a group gift works.
How to choose a safe desk size
There are two desk pad sizes: 13.4 × 18.9 in (34 × 48 cm) and 15.0 × 22.8 in (38 × 58 cm). Every compact set and many executive sets use the smaller pad, and it is the safer choice when you cannot measure the recipient's desk. Choose the larger pad when you know the desk is wide: the desk pad size guide lists the desk widths that suit each size.
Choosing a color
Black and brown are offered on the most sets, so starting with black desk sets or brown desk sets leaves the widest choice of sizes and piece counts. If you know the room, how to choose a desk set color matches set colors to desk finishes. Each product page shows the colors that set comes in; the gold or silver plate is a separate choice.
What to put on the nameplate
The plate has a name line of up to 32 characters and an optional title line of up to 36. Use the name the person goes by at work; if you are not sure of the title, leave it out. Examples (name line / title line):
- Promotion: Dana Whitfield / Vice President, Operations
- New office: Dr. Robin Hayes / Family Dentistry
- Retirement: Pat Sullivan / Happily Retired
- Title unknown: Jamie Carter
These are examples, not real people. Check spelling and capital letters before you order. The nameplate guide lists the fonts, allowed characters and ordering steps; what to put on a desk nameplate covers credentials, departments and long titles, and our guide to gifts for doctors has MD and DO examples.
Compact or executive: how large a gift
Compact sets have four to nine pieces on the smaller pad; executive sets have ten or more and come with either pad size. An executive office gift adds pieces that compact sets do not have, such as a document tray, a picture frame or a tissue holder, and some executive sets add a clock or desk flags. Some sets come without a nameplate, including the Cloud sets and the four- and five-piece sets.
Sets with a nameplate to start from
Each of these sets includes a nameplate base and two ballpoint pens.

Each link opens one color; the other colors are on the product page or in the nameplate collection. To weigh sets side by side, select Compare on up to three of them and open the comparison page.
What is included, and what is not
Each product page lists every piece with its quantity, and that list is what arrives.
- Not included: paper, notepads, calendar sheets and anything shown in a photo but not listed.
- Clocks: sets with a clock do not include the clock battery.
- Desk flags: you tell us which flag you would like, in up to 40 characters, on the product page or in your bag before checkout.
- Material: most of the range is faux leather, a man-made material and not genuine leather; see materials and care.
Ordering personalized office gifts for several people
Gifts for a whole team can go in one order, each set with its own name. Add the sets to your bag one at a time: every set in the same bag line gets the same nameplate, so do not raise the quantity for different people. Your bag shows the name, title, font and plate for each set, and you can edit them there before checkout. For corporate and larger orders, logo printing, custom sizes and custom models can be requested: contact us with the sets, colors and quantities you have in mind. Our corporate gifts page takes a company order step by step.
Shipping, corrections and where to go next
Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay. If the gift is for a fixed date, read the delivery estimates in the shipping policy first; they are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates, so leave extra time.
We do not offer voluntary returns or exchanges, so settle the size, color and wording before you order; the returns and damaged orders policy covers a set that arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered. If you notice a mistake in the nameplate text after ordering, write to us right away through the contact page or at info@luxurydeskset.com with your order number. We can change the nameplate text until the order has shipped; after that it cannot be changed.
